This website, DL Moveable Feast, was born out of my desire to celebrate and share my passion for yoga and food as a way of savoring each movement, each bite, and each moment with full presence. It is an invitation to wellness and artful living - to breathe, move, nourish, relax and connect.
This website is born of my wish to share my appreciation for yoga, meditation and food as a way of savoring each movement, each moment, and each bite with presence and intention. It is an invitation to vital living - to breathe, move, nourish, rest and connect. It is also a medium to inspire self exploration and discovery - to recognize and trust the purposeful power within us, and to live from that deeper purpose with more consistency.
Yoga, meditation, and food are important tools on this journey. Yoga is a gateway to our highest self, not just a physical exercise. Meditation is a way of uncovering our natural wakefulness, not just reducing stress. Food is a means of experiencing our connectedness, not just extracting nutrition. Together, they have offered me an access point to understanding myself and my place in the universe. My wish is that the work that comes out of what I value and practice with sincerity is of benefit to you, and inspires curiosity, self-study, and enthusiasm for what truly matters to you.
There is yoga for everyone. And my endeavor is to serve you.
I work with individuals of all levels in both group and private settings - from beginners trying to understand Yoga’s basic principles to those looking to deepen, reinvigorate and improve a longstanding practice. I also work with individuals with chronic conditions and special needs. All sessions include asana, pranayama, meditation and deep relaxation, leading to a profound sense of ease and spaciousness within the body and mind.
My approach to group class teaching is to offer a balance between the fluidity and dynamism of Yang Yoga and the soft yielding side of Yin Yoga. My signature Yang practice is a flowing sequence of postures emphasizing circles, spirals, bandhas and energy awareness within the dynamic stances emphasizing joint awareness and bone strength. My Yin practice explores long-held postures reflecting the non-muscular approach to yoga asana, alongside pranayama, relaxation and meditation.
